Los Angeles Times | Decisions
During my junior year in college, I came across an article about a man who was facing 20 years in prison for providing humanitarian aid to illegal immigrants. It seemed appalling to me that someone was facing prison time for doing the right thing. Further research into humanitarian aid groups like Border Angels inspired me to tell a story about the issues that go unnoticed at the border.
I enlisted EJ Lui to write the script, Cam Tribe to art direct, and Quinn Frehner to provide strategic insights. We teamed up with production company The Fold and created a short film using the Los Angeles Times as the brand. Journalism not only informs society, it influences it. We wanted to challenge viewers to be an influence in the world for good - one decision at a time.
