FOREIGN FIGURES - "THE FEVER"

Our lives are full of labels and makeshift identities from a society that perpetuates conformity and isolation. This music video from alternative-rock band Foreign Figures tackles these issues in a beautiful and abstract way. It seeks to highlight the "fever" that has gotten hold of our world and that won't stop until we all fall victim.

This was one of the first times I was brought on as a freelance producer. We had a very limited budget, and I was in charge of figuring out how to do a handful of seemingly impossible tasks. I was working with a professional director, DP, pyrotechnic, and colorist at Company 3, and I had to manage the entire production process. New things that I had never dealt with were production insurance, lighting a car on fire (legally), and handling thousands of someone else's dollars in my personal bank account, which I would not recommend doing. The opportunity to work with professionals in this way, a baptism-by-fire-type scenario, helped me begin my freelance career in producing.
